A complete rebuild of a custom parasailing boat that arrived at our yard with potential hidden beneath years of wear, ageing systems, and a layout no longer fit for modern commercial operation. The brief was clear: a complete strip-out and rebuild, transforming the vessel into a safe, efficient, and visually striking platform ready for a new chapter on the water.
A Boat in Need of Reinvention
Parasailing boats are anything but ordinary. Designed for a single purpose - safely launching and retrieving guests into the air - they require specialist layouts, robust systems, and uncompromising reliability. This vessel had once served that purpose well, but time had taken its toll. Rather than a simple refurbishment, this called for a full-scale reimagining.
Phase One: Complete Strip-Out
The project began with a meticulous back-to-bare structure strip-out. This stage is often the most revealing - uncovering hidden issues that can’t be seen from the surface. As with most restoration projects, a thorough inspection is critical to identify what must be repaired, replaced, or redesigned. By the end of this phase, we were left with a clean slate - a solid foundation ready for transformation.
Phase Two: Structural & Systems Rebuild
With the hull assessed and reinforced, the rebuild began from the inside out. Parasailing vessels demand precision-engineered systems, particularly when supporting equipment like hydraulic winches and safety controls that govern launch and retrieval operations. Every system onboard was designed to meet these operational requirements.
Phase Three: Custom Deck & Layout Transformation
One of the most defining elements of any parasailing boat is its stern platform and open working space. A modern parasailing boat typically features a wide, non-slip rear platform designed for safe launch and landing, as well as clear operational zones for crew control. This principle guided the redesign entirely.
Phase Four: Finishing & Custom Detailing
With structure and systems complete, attention turned to aesthetics and durability - two areas where Boatwerks takes particular pride. Boatwerks specialises in high-end finishes and bespoke modifications, combining craftsmanship with durability to ensure vessels not only perform flawlessly but also look exceptional on the water - this was no exception.
